Dr. Rezapour graduated as top 5% of his class from medical school of Tehran University, which has been one of the most prestigious universities in the world. He finished his ophthalmology residency at age 29 and had been elected as assistant professor in National University of Iran. Later he was appointed as one of the founder of Qazvin medical school. He served as vice president of the Qazvin University and ophthalmology chairman and Chair of Biophysics in that medical school. He had practiced ophthalmology for 15 years before immigrated to the United States. He completed his residency at King-Drew and Harbor UCLA in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Cornea in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is American board certified ophthalmologist and has been practicing ophthalmology in cornea and external disease of the eye for the last 15 years in the United States.
He was elected as associate researcher in Cornea Genetic Institute of Los Angeles, Cedars-Sinai and Keck Medical School affiliated institute. Dr Rezapour trained thousands medical students and hundreds of residents in ophthalmology during his career, who have been practicing in the United State and all over the world. He had published hundreds of articles in numerous magazines and newspapers in English and Farsi. Recently his ophthalmology book “Diagnosis and Treatment of Eye Disease” has published.
Dr. Rezapour is an expert in corneal surgeries with 30 years of experience. He is a well-known surgeon in cataract and refractive surgery. He has weekly educational and informative shows in ANDISHEH TV and 670AM KIRN radio station. His shows have thousands of viewers and listeners around the world. Dr Rezapour has earned numerous honors and awards as an educators and for his clinical excellence. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), and American Medical Association.
Dr. Rezapour is a talented writer and poet, whose poems have been published in various respected magazines and his poem book published recently. He lives in Encino, California with his family.
